Youth Sports Scholarship
Option 1: Newberry's B.L.O.C.K
A non-profit organization providing underprivileged children the opportunity to participate in sports through scholarships, fundraising events, and community outreach. We are committed to partnering with the community to give children with limited financial resources an opportunity to benefit from the positive values and life-long skills gained through sports. Sports can transform lives, teaching work ethic, confidence, leadership, dedication, self-improvement,teamwork, discipline, respect, and integrity. Skills critical to winning in sports AND life.

Option 2: CYA Scholarship
- Applicants must maintain a C average or above. (2.2 GPA or above)
- Proof of Financial Need: Applicants who wish to be considered for need-based scholarships must submit proof of family income (e.g., tax returns, financial aid documents).
- Submit a 500-700 word essay that describes their passion for the sport, the role sports play in their lives, their financial disadvantages and how receiving the scholarship will help them achieve their dreams.
- Parents must fulfill volunteer hours
- must sign a contract (or else contract is void)
Deadline: Applications must be submitted by March 15,2025
Submission Method: Applications can be submitted through the online application portal or via email.
